Kat Humble, the photographer, has been working with animals most of her life, including animal rescue and feral taming since the age of ten. She has worked with various animal rescue charities over the years and now devotes her spare time and energies to Pawz for Thought, a rescue charity based in Sunderland which helps abused and abandoned animals all over the North East of England. This experience with animals gives her the ability to help them relax and be themselves in front of the lens.

Kevin and Victoria Humble, assistants, are experienced photographers in other fields. You can see their work by clicking on their names. Both Kevin and Victoria are excellent with animals and they are dab hands at carrying and setting up the equipment as well!

Working in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of the animal's own home rather than a scary studio, Pawprints is able to work with pets in a relaxed atmosphere. Not only does this mean that your pet is happier, it also means that pets who don't travel well can have their portraits done too. Most animals we photograph are fascinated with the equipment we bring in (plus we always have toys and treats)!
